Plan Your Trips on TriMet

Want to take a ride on TriMet’s transit system, including buses, MAX, Wes, or street car? It’s easy to plan and organize your transit trips with TriMet. Using various tools, you can get a customized trip itinerary that will provide important information to help get you where you’re going.

Here are some tips for planning your TriMet trips:

  • Call 503-238-RIDE. Live help is available from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, and a TriMet representative can help you plan your trip. Just give the address of your origin and destination and you’ll receive step-by-step directions on how to get there with TriMet.
  • Use TriMet's online Trip Planner. It provides a step-by-step itinerary to get to your destination using TriMet buses, MAX Light Rail, WES Commuter Rail and the Portland Streetcar—including transfers, walking directions and the correct fare. Access the Online Trip Planner at www.trimet.org.
  • Use maps and schedules. View maps and schedules for buses and trains to find details like station names and locations, scheduled stops, transfer locations, stop ID numbers and more. Printed schedules are available online at the TriMet Ticket Office at Pioneer Courthouse Square and at neighborhood ticket outlets including most Albertsons, Fred Meyer and Safeway stores.
